Service Tenure

Torus StandardPlus and Pro accounts are provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to approval.

Once approved, free-use accounts will remain valid unless:

  • The user fails to keep their account active (last login time exceeds 6-months).
  • The user abuses the fair-use rules (example: continually breaches allocated bandwidth limits)
  • The user fails to meet the terms of service.
  • A paid-for account requests access to a seat where;
    • The seat count is limited and,
    • A free-use subscriber occupies the seat

Note 1: A paid-use account subscriber will replace a free-use subscriber account on a first-in, first-out basis. This is the fairest method to ensure as many free accounts are provided to as many community members as possible before they lose their access.

Note 2: A free-use subscriber who moved out of a Pro package will be offered a Standard package.

Note 3: A free-use subscriber who moved out of a Standard package will be offered a Basic package.
